Job description

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager with 5+ years' experience delivering integrated, data-driven event programmes, ideally within a professional or financial services environment. The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution, with a proven track record of delivering impactful in-person, virtual and hybrid events.

This role requires a strong client-service mindset, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to build credibility with senior audiences and manage external partners. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking and executive presence with hands‑on delivery and strong attention to detail. Confidence in event technology, particularly Cvent, is essential to delivering seamless attendee experiences, maintaining data integrity and supporting measurable commercial outcomes.

Reporting to the Vice President, EMEA Events, this position sits within the Global Go-to-Market function and partners closely with Business Unit Marketing Leads, global marketing teams and senior stakeholders across the firm. The role is responsible for planning and delivering a portfolio of strategic event programmes and related marketing initiatives that support Kroll's business objectives across EMEA.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the EMEA Events Lead with event strategy and planning, developing and improving event processes and workflows, proactively managing key stakeholders, aligning expectations and maintaining clear communication throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Manage and deliver a varied portfolio of events, including executive programmes, conferences, sponsorships, roundtables and webinars across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats.
  • Own the end‑to‑end event lifecycle, from brief development, objective setting and audience strategy through venue sourcing, production, registration, communications, speaker management, on‑site delivery to post‑event reviews.
  • Serve as one of the EMEA subject‑matter leads for Cvent Event Management Software, collaborating with colleagues to support event builds, registration pathways, invitation and approval workflows, attendee communications, websites, mobile event apps, check‑in and on‑arrival solutions, surveys and reporting.
  • Support the planning and delivery of webinars and digital event experiences using ON24, including event setup, registration and audience journeys, speaker rehearsals, live delivery, engagement tools, on‑demand content, attendee communications, analytics and post‑event reporting.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and relevant system owners to maintain effective data flows and campaign processes between Cvent, Salesforce and marketing automation platforms, supporting accurate attribution, consent management, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Manage event budgets, forecasts and processes; track performance against agreed objectives and report on attendance, engagement, pipeline influence, cost efficiency, return on investment and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the EMEA supplier network to drive operational excellence, innovation, cost efficiency and high‑quality event delivery. Oversee supplier sourcing, briefing, contracting and performance, ensuring appropriate governance and consistently high standards.
  • Develop event risk assessments, contingency and crisis‑response plans, with clear escalation routes and robust on‑site operating procedures.
  • Evaluate relevant innovations, automation and responsible AI‑enabled capabilities within the event‑technology ecosystem, introducing improvements where they create measurable value and comply with company policies.
  • Collaborate and build trusted relationships effectively across Marketing, Communications, Sales, Business Development, Technology, Legal, Risk and business teams to deliver consistent brand experience and strong outcomes across multiple Kroll service lines.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of progressive event management, ideally within professional services, financial services or another complex B2B environment.
  • Demonstrable hands‑on experience using Cvent Event Management Software to build and manage complex events, registration journeys, communications, attendee data and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Eloqua or equivalent CRM and marketing automation platforms, supported by strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Monday.com or comparable project management platforms is desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to create clear briefs, plans, stakeholder updates and post‑event reports.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy and quality control with a continuous‑improvement mindset and commitment to high delivery standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight timelines and high expectations for excellence while managing multiple concurrent projects and changing priorities.
  • Strong commercial capability in budgeting, negotiation, procurement and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of event data privacy, accessibility, health and safety, and operational risk principles across EMEA.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within EMEA and occasionally beyond, and to work outside standard hours when required for event delivery.
Personal Attributes:
  • Credible, professional with the judgement and composure to engage senior stakeholders, clients and suppliers.
  • Curious about the evolving events and technology landscape, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Adaptable, collaborative and solutions‑focused, with a practical approach to delivery.
  • Confident, proactive and self‑motivated, with strong ownership and resilience.
  • Calm under pressure, culturally aware and comfortable working across countries, time zones and diverse teams.
