Responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of exhibitions, conferences, customer events, and internal activities, the Events Manager will oversee the complete event lifecycle from concept through to evaluation. The role will also own the company-wide events calendar, provide expert guidance on event best practice across the wider marketing team, and ensure all events strengthen brand awareness, customer engagement, and commercial performance.

Event Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and maintain event planning processes, standards, and best practices across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and impact of events through innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for all event-related activities.
Event Delivery and Management
  • Lead the end-to-end management of exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, customer events, and internal events.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venue management, suppliers, contractors, travel arrangements, stand builds, equipment, and collateral.
  • Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Take ownership of event delivery on-site, leading teams and resolving issues effectively to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain event assets, exhibition materials, and event kits to enable rapid response to new opportunities while maintaining brand integrity.
Budget and Performance Management
  • Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Establish clear event objectives and success measures.
  • Produce comprehensive post-event analysis and reporting, including attendance, lead generation, customer engagement, and commercial outcomes.
  • Use data and feedback to inform recommendations and improve future event performance.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, event organisers, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, marketing, and leadership teams to maximise event opportunities and business impact.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify areas for growth, improvement, and increased customer engagement.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to colleagues on event planning and delivery best practice.
Brand and Marketing Support
  • Create and oversee high-quality event collateral across print and digital channels, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Support internal brand photography and photoshoots to create assets for events and wider marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all event communications and materials reflect the company's brand positioning and values.
Customer Engagement and Insights
  • Represent the company professionally at events and exhibitions.
  • Engage confidently with customers, educators, and industry stakeholders to gather insights and market intelligence.
  • Use customer feedback and observations to support future marketing, product, and event strategies.
Experience
  • Experience in an Events Manager, Events Executive, or similar events-focused role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, and customer-facing events from concept to completion.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience managing event budgets and measuring return on investment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Experience creating event collateral and coordinating branded marketing materials.
  • Confident representing a business at events and engaging directly with customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software/tools.
