Job summary

Newcastle University is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to deliver a wide range of events across the Newcastle Health Research Partnership portfolio. You will work across key partners, developing event plans, liaising with stakeholders, and promoting activities to raise NHRP's profile in health research across the North East.

The role is full-time, fixed term until 31/03/2028, with a focus on delivering events across Research, Training and Public Partnerships workstreams.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication, organisation and event management skills.
  • Excellent IT skills with platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
  • Attention to detail, report writing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interprofessional teamwork and negotiation with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building relationships with internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a wide range of events (in-person and online).
  • Manage all elements of events ensuring quality and alignment with priorities.
  • Develop and maintain annual events calendar and operating plan.
  • Establish and improve event systems and processes.
  • Promote events via appropriate channels in collaboration with communications.
  • Be present at events for setup, registration and support.
  • Provide post-event de-briefs and follow-up with planners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance and up-to-date documentation.
  • Stay updated on event management best practices to inform direction.
  • Provide administrative support to NHIP Management Team as required.
