Purpose:

Climate Bonds is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Events Executive to support our events team in organising and executing our global annual events. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and passionate about event planning.

Events are a key marketing and communications channel for Climate Bonds, providing a platform for engagement with senior decision-makers in the Sustainable Finance sphere. The Climate Bonds CONNECT series has grown significantly and now includes events in London, New York, Mumbai, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and São Paulo.

The Event Executive will work with the Event Manager and marketing team, engaging with external stakeholders like speakers and sponsors, and internal teams. Responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of the annual CONNECT series and smaller events, both in-person and online.

This role is suitable for entry-level candidates with at least one year's experience in corporate events. It requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with digital event tools, and a willingness to learn and develop.

Key Relationships:
  • Reporting to the Event Manager
  • Engagement with event sponsors and stakeholders
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external partners
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist in event planning, including venue research, vendor management, and entertainment bookings
  • Coordinate logistics such as speaker and sponsor engagement, AV setup, and venue arrangements
  • Manage digital event platforms and update website content
  • Develop marketing materials and outreach strategies with the marketing team
  • Serve as the main contact for attendees, vendors, and sponsors
  • Manage event registration and communication
  • Support on-site and online event management
  • Gather feedback and conduct post-event evaluations
  • Create proposals and sponsorship packages as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Events, Marketing, or related field
  • At least one year of experience in event planning within a corporate environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours during events
