Job description

Events and Communications Manager, Doncaster

We are seeking an experienced Events & Communications Manager to lead external corporate events for our client, We Are Adam, based in Doncaster, UK. This role supports their business development team with a focus on raising brand awareness and reputation in the sector.

The position is located in Manchester with a hybrid work model (2 days in the office per week) and is a 15-month fixed-term contract starting ASAP. EU work permit is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of monthly events.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue bookings, marketing materials, invoices, and packing lists.
  • Organize internal engagement events, sourcing venues as needed.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for business development events.
  • Serve as the primary contact for event-related inquiries.
  • Support event delivery on the day, overseeing the event team.
  • Evaluate event performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements.
  • Develop an external corporate events calendar with the Chief Customer Officer.
  • Oversee hiring of event personnel when necessary.
  • Monitor and assess event success, hosting debrief meetings.
Communication Responsibilities
  • Lead communication and marketing strategies for events and projects.
  • Manage event promotion, including invitations, RSVPs, and social media collaboration.
  • Develop sponsorship opportunities and secure sponsors.
  • Ensure aligned messaging across internal teams.
  • Create marketing strategies with the Head of PR & Communications.
  • Support internal communications and recruitment outreach.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years in event management and communications planning.
  • Strong logistical coordination and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in B2B marketing and post-event engagement.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Zoom Webinar, Salesforce, Canva, and agency environments.
