Job summary

Disrupt Talent is seeking an Event Technical Delivery Lead for outdoor modular structures. You will own technical delivery, development and continuous improvement of the product, spanning planning, installation and on-site leadership.

Role involves site surveys, installation methodologies, RAMS generation, mentoring teams, and working with Sales and Operations. Travel across UK/Europe, hands-on fabrication and escalation of technical challenges as they arise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading site installation teams or managing contractors.
• Strong understanding of mechanical or modular construction.
• Hands-on build capability on-site (cutting, assembly, finishing).
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Event Technical Delivery Lead - Outdoor Modular Structures

Our client is a specialist exhibition and events company with over 35 years' experience designing, building and delivering event and space solutions across the UK and Europe. Their expertise spans relocatable event structures, exhibition stands, exhibition trailers and temporary modular buildings, working with well-known brands across a wide range of sectors.

As part of continued growth, they are introducing a new outdoor modular structure product and are looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to take ownership of its delivery and development.

The role

You will become the company's technical expert for Outdoor Modular Structures, responsible for the technical delivery, development and continuous improvement of the product.

The role spans planning, preparation, installation and product development. You will review briefs and carry out site surveys, develop installation methodologies and technical documentation, then lead the installations on site, coordinating install teams and resolving technical challenges as they arise. Alongside that, you will capture lessons learned, recommend improvements to the product and installation methods, and contribute to the development of future products and accessories.

You will also produce and review RAMS, maintain safe installation procedures, and train and mentor installation teams, including freelance and contract labour.

This is a hands-on role, not a desk-based project management position. It sits within the Operations delivery team, working closely with Sales, Project Management and the wider Operations team.

What We're Looking For

• Experience leading site installation teams, whether organising freelancers and contractors or managing direct reports
• Strong understanding of mechanical or modular construction systems
• Practical, hands-on build capability, including on-site cutting, assembly and finishing
• Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices
• Technically driven with commercial awareness
• Some leadership experience, or a clear desire to grow into it
• Full UK Driving Licence

Background in outdoor events, staging, modular builds, cabins or container systems, exhibition or temporary structures, aluminium or structural steel systems, or specialist construction and engineering. IOSH, NEBOSH, IPAF, PASMA, forklift or telehandler tickets, First Aid, SMSTS or SSSTS all welcome.

Advanced CAD expertise is not required, but you should be willing to learn the design system alongside SketchUp.
