About the Role

Join SUPERMASSIVE at our brand new immersive experience in Depot Mayfield!

We’re looking for friendly, reliable, and proactive team members to help run our bar, as part of our interactive exhibition. You’ll work under the supervision of the Venue Manager to deliver a fantastic experience to every guest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience Operation:

Assist in the smooth running of installations and excellent visitor experience. For example, scanning tickets, selling and taking payments of merchandise.

  • Customer Service & Hosting:

Deliver warm and helpful service throughout the guests visit, for example introducing the space to guests in an engaging way for all ages.

  • Stewarding:

Act as a visible, friendly presence—monitoring flow and queues, encouraging positive visitor behaviour and helping maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the space, reporting issues promptly.

  • Daily Setup and Close Down:

Help with opening checks, preparing the venue each day, and closing tasks including basic tidying and resetting.

May be occasionally required to provide:

  • Bar Service:

Prepare and serve drinks in our café/bar area, maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and ensure responsible alcohol service.

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, events, or attractions is preferred, and handling basic event technology (payments, tickets).
  • Confidence working and speaking with the public with a friendly and clear communication style.
  • A proactive attitude who can take initiative with a strong team player spirit.
  • Ability to stay calm and positive under pressure around the public.
  • Experience working with families and children in commercial spaces.
  • Previous experience as a barista or in a bar – although training can be provided.
  • An interest in immersive technology and experience building.

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work Wednesday–Sunday from June - September.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Must be available for training starting June 5th.
  • The role requires extended periods of standing and moving about the space.

What We Offer

• £12.50 per hour, as part of a fixed term contract.

• Full time and part time roles available - we prefer full time availability, but are open to part time.

Both daytime and evening shifts will be available: 11am – 11pm approx.
