EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 2+ years event experience at managerial level

We are seeking a candidate to manage and support the delivery of professional mass-participation running events. Responsibilities include event planning, venue management, and maintaining high standards in event preparation and delivery. The role may also involve line management of a small team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors, and businesses.
2. Create and update event management plans and risk assessments.
3. Complete relevant event applications, such as road closure applications.
4. Conduct official course measurements for new event courses.
5. Lead the course team on event days, ensuring proper setup and pack-down, including being the lead cyclist when appropriate.
6. Line management of a small team of Operations staff.

Essential Skills and Requirements

• Passionate about physical activity and running.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Full driving license.
• Previous line management experience.
• Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
• Willingness to work weekends with early start and finish times.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the UK running industry.
