Job description

We are seeking 2 event managers to run our gelato events company in London. You will be the senior team and will report directly to the owner.

We are an ambitions events company that gets lots of bookings for film sets, corporates, weddings, PR promotions and marketing and we have the finest gelato in the land.

You will be running the entire London operation with remote assistance from the owner - so you will be carrying out the events end to end, plus other business related duties - from sorting out branding materials for events to freezer repairs. It will be like you are operating your own gelato events business.

This role is entrepreneurial, with many aspects to the business from carrying out the events to upselling. It is also physically demanding - it's essential that you feel comfortable and strong enough to load heavy freezers up a ramp into a van.

You also need to be comfortable to drive a van. You must also live locally (our warehouse is in Camberwell)

We are looking for experienced street food and hospitality staff as you will have a lot of responsibility to make sure the operation runs smoothly.

Overtime is also available (we're very busy in the summer).

Duties

• End to end event delivery. Arriving at the warehouse, loading the van, driving to the event on time, exceptional customer service/ serving the gelato, returning to the warehouse to pack and clean everything away.
• Driving a van
• Maintenance of the warehouse, taking deliveries
• Loading the van requires physical strength - it's essential that you feel comfortable with this
• Maintaining health and safety requirements in the warehouse and for events
• Being the first point of call for running the London operation and reporting to the owner. You will be in charge.
• Upselling gelato on the day
• Other business related duties and creativity for company improvement
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management or a related field such as hospitality or street food delivery.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Exceptional customer experience skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. Less sociable hours will be rotated as much as possible amongst staff.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
• To be comfortable driving a van
• To be strong enough to load the van safely - it is essential that you feel comfortable with hard/ physical work.
