Job summary

Silverstone International is seeking a hands-on Logistics Assistant to support event setup, live operations, and breakdown across the Silverstone estate. The role involves moving furniture, catering equipment, and stock, with a focus on safety and timely delivery.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth event logistics, maintain assets, and keep front and back of house areas clean and presentable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a logistics, events, facilities or similar operational role is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Ability and willingness to undertake regular lifting, carrying and movement of equipment and inventory.
• Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of work delivered.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Proactive and solution-focused, with a positive can-do attitude.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and extended event periods.
• Full clean UK driving license.
• Forklift and/or Telehandler qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup and breakdown of all events as directed.
• Safely move, distribute and position furniture, catering equipment, event infrastructure, stock and other assets across the Silverstone estate.
• Ensure the correct equipment and inventory is delivered and set up at the correct location and within the required timescales.
• Assist with the delivery of live event operations and respond to logistical requirements throughout events.
• Ensuring both front & back of house areas are kept clean and tidy, to the highest standard, always, including storage areas.
• Complete allocated daily tasks to the required standard and ensure these are signed off by the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain front and back of house areas, storage areas and operational spaces to a clean, safe and presentable standard.
• Support the Logistics Supervisor with maintaining accurate site asset and equipment inventories.
• Ensuring all equipment both internal & external is accounted for, maintained to a high quality, stored suitably, and taken care of.
