Job summary

JS Fun Event Hire is expanding its freelance-style event crew pool in East London, looking for dependable Event Drivers and Ambassadors. The role combines driving, event setup, basic troubleshooting and customer service from our East London depot.

You will drive company vans to venues, install equipment, and ensure safe operation while delivering excellent service to clients and guests. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to meet fleet-insurance criteria.
• Experience in driving vans in London and on longer journeys is preferred.
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Polite, professional and customer-focused manner.

Responsibilities

• Load, check and secure equipment before departure.

Are you a confident driver who enjoys practical work and meeting people? JS Fun Event Hire is expanding its freelance-style event crew pool and needs dependable Event Drivers & Fun Ambassadors.

You will work from our East London depot, driving company vans to event venues and installing interactive entertainment equipment. The role combines driving, event setup, basic troubleshooting and customer service.

Your duties will include:

• Loading, checking and securing equipment before departure
• Driving to corporate events, exhibitions and brand activations
• Installing and testing interactive games
• Explaining safe operation to clients and guests
• Dismantling and returning equipment after the event
• Completing job records and reporting problems promptly
• Assisting with depot preparation and equipment care

You will need:

• A full UK driving licence and the ability to meet fleet-insurance criteria
• Experience driving vans confidently in London and on longer journeys
• Practical problem-solving ability
• Strong punctuality and reliability
• A polite, professional and customer-focused manner
• Flexibility for weekdays, weekends, evenings and occasional overnight work
• The physical capability to handle event equipment safely
• Experience in events, AV, exhibitions, installations, removals, logistics, warehousing, maintenance or hospitality is advantageous. Full training on our games and procedures is provided.

The starting rate is £15.50 per hour, rising to £16.50 per hour once training and competency sign-off are completed. This is a zero-hours position and weekly hours will vary.
