Hybrid working: 2 days in office per week
Large-scale events drawing thousands to the floor, flagship awards dinners, a portfolio that punches well above the team size. A close-knit membership body where an Event Coordinator owns events end-to-end and takes every other Friday off, year-round.
This is a well-established UK membership body with a small, close-knit team and a flat culture that gives people real ownership over their work. The events programme punches well above the organisation's size, with large-scale exhibitions and prestigious awards dinners forming the headline calendar. The flexibility on offer is genuinely embedded in how the organisation operates, not just written into a policy, which is why an Event Coordinator here tends to find it a role worth staying in.
Reporting to the Events Lead, the Event Coordinator takes end-to-end ownership of small and medium-sized events while playing a key supporting role on the flagship programme, including major conferences, awards ceremonies and exhibitions.
You will already have solid experience coordinating corporate, membership, conference or networking events, with a track record of juggling competing deadlines and keeping multiple workstreams on track. As an Event Coordinator you will be confident managing suppliers, handling logistics independently and escalating risks at the right moment.
Experience with budget tracking, supplier negotiation, risk assessments or health and safety coordination is beneficial but not essential. Equally, a background in conferences or awards ceremonies would be a natural fit, though candidates from adjacent event formats are very welcome to apply.
In return you get a genuine 9-day fortnight, a portfolio spanning large-scale exhibitions and prestigious awards dinners, and a flexible working setup that is rare at this level.
We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, embracing diversity across all intersecting dimensions, including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, well-being, abilities, and neurodiversity. We are dedicated to ensuring a supportive and accessible recruitment process. If you require any adjustments or accommodations for any reason, please do not hesitate to let us know.
