Job summary

Legends Global hosts live events and operates Vaillant Live in Derby, a dynamic venue for concerts, exhibitions and sports. We are seeking a passionate Casual Chef to deliver creative, high-quality dishes for large events and day-to-day service.

Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced kitchens, enjoy fresh ingredients, and are committed to food safety. Flexible hours, biweekly pay, and opportunities to contribute to menu development are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a chef in a restaurant, catering, or event setting.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with menu requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared efficiently, maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
• Assist in menu development and bring creative ideas to enhance offerings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Adapt to varying kitchen environments, from large-scale events to intimate dining experiences.

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Casual Chef. Whether you're preparing dishes for a large event, a private function, or our day-to-day service, you'll bring creativity, efficiency, and consistency to the kitchen. Relevant culinary qualifications (preferred but not essential).
