Job summary

Coaching Inn Group in Chelmsford is seeking enthusiastic Banquet Servers to join our events team, delivering exceptional service at weddings, corporate functions and other catered occasions. You will help set up banquet rooms, lay tables, serve food and drinks, clear tables and assist with event breakdown.

The role requires a guest-focused attitude, strong teamwork, and the ability to work flexible evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or catering experience preferred (training provided for the right candidates).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Good personal presentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare banquet rooms according to event requirements.
• Lay tables, arrange place settings, and ensure all service areas are stocked.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner.
• Clear tables and assist with event breakdown and clean-up.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Work closely with chefs, supervisors, and event coordinators.
