Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Supermarket Assistant for Hersham, Surrey. This part-time role (15 hours per week) involves stock replenishment, fulfilling online orders, and supporting checkout and Click & Collect tasks in a busy Waitrose branch.

Paid £14.55 per hour, with £14.80 per hour after 90 days. Night premium of £3.75 per hour applies between 22:00 and 06:00, where applicable. Flexible/ varied hours across seven days to include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers and team members.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.
• Able to adapt to varying shifts across seven days.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly placed.
• Prepare online orders for drivers for doorstep delivery.
• Minimise waste through diligence and date checks.
• Support checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders as part of the shop team.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment with regular housekeeping tasks.
