Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring for a Supermarket Assistant in London, offering part-time hours (up to 22.5 per week) at £14.55 per hour, rising to £14.80 after 90 days. Location options include multiple Waitrose sites in London. This temporary role requires flexibility across evenings, weekends, and various branches.

You’ll handle stock, online orders, and customer service, with night premium where applicable, and must be prepared for DBS vetting where required.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for our drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
