Job summary

Barca-Leeds is seeking a Youth Worker to support young people aged 8-19 through group work, detached and outreach activities. The role requires evening availability (2pm-8pm) and involves planning activities and providing tailored support to promote engagement.

Applicants should hold at least a Level 3 in Youth Work and have over 12 months’ experience, or be willing to work towards the qualification. This fixed-term role runs until 31/03/2027, with pro‑rating for part-time hours and full-time

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 in Youth Work.
• Over 12 months of Youth Work experience or willing to work towards the qualification.
• Evenings 2pm–8pm availability to support timetable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver groups, activities and tailored packages of individual support.
• Provide interventions such as group work, detached and outreach support to promote engagement.
• Build positive relationships with young people and manage challenging behaviour.
