Job summary

Northampton Town FC’s academy invites applications for a casual Academy Physiotherapist to provide therapy and first aid services to U9–U16 players during evenings and weekends.

You will assess injuries, deliver treatment, support medical screenings, maintain medical notes in Kitman Labs, attend games, and work with the Lead Academy Physiotherapist and Academy Manager to ensure safe, effective care. A flexible approach and CPD commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified to the minimum Therapist requirement as set out in the Football league regulations.
• Hold a current FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management Qualification (ITMMiF) or equivalent; willing to complete before starting.
• Holds or willing to acquire an FA Safeguarding Qualification.
• Excellent communication with players, parents and coaching staff regarding player injury and rehabilitation.
• Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to work with commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services during evening training and weekends for U9-U16 players.
• Support medical screenings and physical testing of players.
• Ensure assessment and diagnosis of injuries for U9-U16 players within the Academy.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and injury prevention strategies within the Academy.
• Complete and upload medical notes onto Kitman Labs within the required timeframe.
• Attend home and away games and provide immediate attention to injuries.
