Job summary

Choices Homecare is seeking Evening and Weekend Care Assistants to support clients across the Calderdale area. You will work 4pm–10pm, Monday to Sunday, with hours flexible to cover 16 hours per week. The role offers mileage reimbursement at 30p per mile and a rate of pay of £13.65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Care experience preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to complete training provided.
• UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for some routes.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and support with eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and support people with daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and identify changes in behaviour or needs.
• Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
