Job summary

Topps Group is seeking a Stock Controller Shift Operative for our distribution centre in the United Kingdom. The role is on the late shift (2PM–10PM) and requires heavy lifting as a core part of daily duties.

You will maintain stock records, manage returns, and investigate discrepancies using WMS and ERP systems. You’ll contribute to accuracy, despatches, and overall warehouse efficiency within a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control within a warehouse.
• Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP or inventory systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Flexibility to support picking and operational tasks when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory integrity using WMS and other systems.
• Manage the returns process, ensuring returned stock is accurately processed, quarantined where necessary, and correctly recorded within inventory systems.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, carrying out cycle counts and stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Work closely within a small warehouse team to support the smooth and efficient operation of the late shift.
• Monitor stock movements, receipts, and despatches, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Provide operational support by undertaking picking, packing, and other warehouse duties as required to meet customer and business demands.
• Use strong system skills and attention to detail to analyse stock issues, produce reports, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
