Job summary

Yusen Logistics in Northampton is hiring a Warehouse Operative to join our shift pattern 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend work. The role focuses on safe operation of MHE (FLT, counterbalance, reach truck or pallet stacker) and accurate handling of goods in a busy warehouse.

You will load/unload trailers, complete paperwork, and maintain high standards of health and safety while delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• FLT, counterbalance, reach truck, or pallet stacker licence (A2).
• Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
• Teamworking skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Good level of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Northampton warehouse.
• Operate MHE to support operations with a strong focus on H&S.
• Safely load and unload trailers, handle goods to minimise damage.
• Complete relevant paperwork and utilise MHE/automation systems.
• Adhere to all H&S procedures and use PPE.
• Seek ways to improve processes and drive efficiency.
• Communicate concerns to your team leader or manager.
