Byron Wood Academy in Sheffield is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. You will work as part of a site team to keep classrooms, corridors, offices and shared areas hygienic and presentable each day.

The role involves vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, bin collection and reporting issues. It is a part-time role offering 15 hours per week, 3:30pm-6:30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time plus additional agreed weeks.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and a positive attitude.
• Awareness of COSHH and safe cleaning practices (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal spaces to a high standard.
• Undertake general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, dusting, and binEmptying.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly.
• Report any cleaning, maintenance, or safety issues to the Site Manager.
• Work to daily cleaning schedules within allocated timeframes.
• Follow school policies including health and safety and safeguarding.
