Job summary

Charing Cross Food Store, part of the Co‑operative Society, is seeking a Part-time Supervisor for evening shifts in Jersey. You will lead a small team, ensure high standards of customer service, merchandising and store presentation, and help drive sales while upholding our values of Co-operation, Openness, Passion, Empowerment and Recognition.

As a Supervisor you will manage store operations, stock movement, cash handling at the tills, and maintain a safe, clean working environment.

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of the business and the broader co-operative movement
• To be risk aware in the areas under your responsibility
• To be able to understand and communicate business reporting

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the successful delivery of the Store business plan
• To lead, inspire and develop your team, making sure that each and every colleague feels valued.
• To ensure that your store is safe, secure and compliant with legal requirements
• Broad understanding of profit growth
• Effectively develop and execute excellent customer service
• Moving and Replenishing stock
• Processing transactions on the checkouts
• Supporting colleagues as part of a good team work ethic
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and uncluttered working area
