Job summary

Northampton Area School District is seeking a 2nd shift custodian at the High School. Hours are 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday, for cleaning, maintenance, and event support.

The role requires a high school diploma, reliability, and the ability to handle basic custodial tasks with discretion. Responsibilities include cleaning facilities, operating cleaning equipment, assisting with set-up for events, and reporting repairs to the operations team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Compliance with Employment Eligibility, Criminal History Record, Pre-Employment Drug Testing, and Physical Examination/TB Test.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills including tact, patience and courtesy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Custodial experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings by dusting, sweeping, washing, waxing, vacuuming and other approved methods.
• Set up and dismantle rooms for events and meetings.
• Inspect and report repairs or malfunctions to the Director of Operations.
• Monitor doors, windows and gates to ensure security.
