Job summary

Northampton High School - GDST is seeking an AV technician to ensure the smooth operation of audio-visual systems in the theatre and support teaching and events. You will work with pupils and staff, diagnosing issues and providing practical AV help.

Experience with mixers, lighting, Adobe Creative Suite and DAWs, plus a background in education, will help you thrive in this role. The position is part-time and on-site at our Northampton campus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of audio mixing desks, mixers and AV equipment.
• Knowledge of stage lighting and lighting desks.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and multiple DAWs.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues in education settings.
• Experience recording and editing audio, video and images.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of AV systems to support teaching and learning across the theatre.
• Provide technical and practical support to pupils, staff and external hirers.
