Job summary

Cockermouth School is seeking a part-time School Cleaner to join our cleaning team, ensuring classrooms and communal areas remain clean and tidy after school hours. The role offers flexible hours up to 17 per week and benefits including on-the-job training and a pension.

Weekly hours are 15:45–19:15, with Fridays finishing at 18:45; the post includes safeguarding commitments with enhanced DBS checks as part of our safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Part-time position up to 17 hours per week.
• Evening hours 15:45–19:15 (18:45 on Fridays).
• On-the-job training with competitive terms, including pension.
• Safeguarding commitment with enhanced DBS and Childcare Disqualification declaration where appropriate.
• Shortlisted candidates will be subject to safeguarding measures.

Responsibilities

• Support the school’s students and staff by ensuring the learning setting is clean and tidy.
• Work within the fantastic cleaning team to maintain school environments.
