Job summary

Longdendale High School seeks an Evening Cleaner to join the cleaning team. The role is 15 hours per week, term-time, 3.30pm–6.30pm, at SCP 2 (£13.01 per hour). You will clean classrooms, stairs, toilets and corridors to keep the school environment welcoming, clean and safe.

Experience is helpful but not essential. The post is subject to safeguarding checks and health and safety guidelines must be followed; interviews will be held w/c 5 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Willingness to be flexible, professional, and to follow health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work 15 hours per week during term time as directed by Site/Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning of classrooms, stairs, toilets and corridors.
• Work as part of the cleaning team to keep areas welcoming, clean and safe.
• Follow school health and safety policies at all times.
