Job summary

Thames Park Secondary School in Grays is seeking an Evening Assistant Caretaker to join the site team. The role supports after-school lettings, helps maintain safety and appearance, and contributes to overall site upkeep during evenings and Saturdays.

Working 25 hours per week across term-time plus inset days, you will report to the Site Manager and be involved in locking up and general caretaking duties. A proactive, reliable approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be enthusiastic, proactive and hardworking.
• Ability to use your own initiative, prioritise workload and work as part of a site team.
• Physically able to undertake lifting and manual tasks.
• Willingness to participate in training and development.

Responsibilities

• Support after-school lettings and act as point of contact for hirers.
• Lock the school site at the end of the day and ensure security.
• Undertake general caretaking duties including cleaning and maintenance.
• Work under the direction of the Site Manager.
