Job summary

WWL (Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) are recruiting a Porter based at Wrightington Hospital to work 37.5 hours per week, with a shift pattern from 1.00 pm to 9.00 pm, Monday to Friday. The post requires flexible availability and may require cover for colleagues during absences.

The Porter will support day-to-day operations across the site, moving patients, goods and waste using vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 1 or equivalent.
• Induction and training provided.
• No formal qualifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Move patients and goods across the site using vehicles and equipment.
• Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
• Support clinical services and ward movements as required.
