Job summary

Booker Group plc is hiring for a HGV driver at its Haydock Distribution Centre. The role involves single drop deliveries using Class 1 vehicles, 27–36 hours per week, with start times between 17:30 and 19:30. Sundays and Fridays may appear in the shift pattern.

You will deliver to 198 cash and carry stores and partner retailers, ensuring paperwork and vehicle readiness. Applicants must hold a Class 1 licence and CPC qualification, with a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Licence Holder.
• CPC qualified to be considered for the role.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience with temperature controlled food deliveries preferred but not essential.
• Routes vary daily; applicants must be flexible with work hours and short notice changes.
• Any licence points rules as per role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver stock to Booker cash and carry stores and retail partners.
• Complete paperwork after each delivery.
• Ensure vehicle is in good condition at start and end of shift.
• Work autonomously and as part of the transport team.
