Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in the UK is seeking a Chef to create exceptional meals for Universities on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. The role offers progression within a market-leading food service company.

You will prepare and serve high-quality food, lead a kitchen team, and uphold hygiene standards while helping to develop new menus and concepts. A strong customer-service ethos is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Hold a valid Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen environment.
• Experience in a similar Chef role is essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to continuously improve.
• Supporting creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Universities and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
