Job summary

ABP Food Group in the UK is recruiting an Evening Hygiene Operative to uphold high hygiene standards across the factory, in production and processing areas. You will follow SOPs, perform deep cleans after each shift, and support food safety and health and safety protocols.

The role requires teamwork, ability to follow instructions, good communication, and a proactive approach to food safety. Hours are Monday to Friday, 16:30/17:00 start and around 12:30/1:00 finish, salary £13.21 per hour with a

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for completion of hygiene tasks.
• Deep cleaning after each shift or when required, especially after processing lamb / beef in production hall.
• Follow HACCP protocols: ensure cleaning practices align with food safety regulations.
• Cleaning surfaces - thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting floors, ceilings, and machinery in the slaughter hall and boning hall areas after production.
• To be health and safety conscious, using the correct PPE to prepare chemicals and carry out your hygiene duties.
• Support the need for change and actively get involved in continually looking for ways to improve performance.
• Comply with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace.
• To clean, separate and dispose of waste according to company policy.
• To carry out general and specific hygiene duties in accordance with the methods and safe systems of work detailed on the cleaning instruction cards at the specified frequency.
• Able to work in a small team or independently; you will follow a cleaning schedule for the production lines, equipment, internal and external areas throughout the premises.
