Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to support Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust at Alexandra Hospital in Redditch. This temporary role features Mon-Fri, 5pm-8pm shifts with pay £12.71 per hour plus escalated rates after 8pm.

You will join the infection control team to maintain clean, safe clinical areas and operate cleaning equipment according to safety protocols. The role requires good communication and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and patient-facing interactions.
• Capable of working to deadlines and under pressure in a clinical cleaning environment.
• Experience in a domestic or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of COSHH and health & safety protocols is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of clinical areas to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Communicate effectively with departmental staff, line managers and patients.
