Job summary

Dakota Newcastle is seeking a reliable evening housekeeper/ cleaner to join our housekeeping team in Newcastle. You will thoroughly clean guest bedrooms and en-suites, make beds, and attend to guest requests.

Shifts are typically 16:00–21:00, three days out of seven, with a permanent contract for about 15 hours per week. We offer a supportive, positive culture with ongoing development opportunities, employee welfare benefits, and Meals on duty.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning responsibilities; ability to deep clean and detail-oriented work.
• Ability to work alone in guest bedrooms while maintaining pace.

• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns to suit business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, make beds, and detail for a welcoming space.
• Carry out vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping and lifting items as needed.
• Record guest preferences and respond to requests to personalise stays.
• Maintain knowledge of chemical handling and cleaning equipment safety.
• Follow health and safety procedures regarding waste and manual handling.
