Job summary

INJURED JOCKEYS FUND is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join Jack Berry House, Malton, to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role includes laundry duties, restocking consumables, and reporting faults to the Centre Manager, with a focus on infection control and safety.

The position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 8:00pm, offering an hourly rate in the £13.66–£14.34 range depending on experience, and DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the site observing infection control measures.
• Report faults and damages to equipment, carpets, and furnishings to the Centre Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the site.
• Replace consumables in kitchenette and respite areas, observing health and safety laws.
• Report faults to equipment/premises to the Centre Manager.
• Report damaged or stained carpet/upholstery/soft furnishings to the Centre Manager.
• Carry out general laundry duties and operate laundry equipment.
• Ensure COSHH, Legionella testing, and water temperature checks are recorded.
• Observe fire, health and safety/COSHH regulations and promote safety.
