Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member to clean and maintain hospital areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, offices and communal spaces. Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, bathrooms and communal spaces.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and buffing floors using appropriate machinery.
• Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, skirting boards, window ledges and equipment.
• Collecting and disposing of rubbish, clinical waste and recycling in accordance with Trust policy.
• Replenishing consumables such as soap, hand towels and toilet tissue.
• Ensuring cleaning equipment is kept in a clean and safe condition, and reporting any faults promptly.
• Assisting with curtain changes and deep cleans as required.
• Supporting catering duties where needed, including preparing and serving patient breakfasts and drinks, and assisting with meal orders when required.
• Maintaining confidentiality and showing respect and compassion to patients at all times.
