Job summary

Bluebird Care Vale of Glamorgan is hiring a Care Assistant to support customers at home in the Vale area (Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, Barry, Penarth, Wenvoe, Sully, Bonvilston). Earn £13.45–£16.00 per hour with flexible evening shifts and expert training.

You will provide personal care, companionship, meal prep, shopping, and medication support, working independently or as part of a supportive team. Training and progression opportunities are available, with paid hours for learning and shadowing

Qualifications

• A Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Living in the local area.
• Ability to work alternate weekends.
• Commit to a minimum of one evening shift per week.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential; full training provided.
• ABI experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing essential personal care and companionship.
• Assisting with meal prep, shopping and household tasks.
• Supporting with medication management.
• Encouraging independence to help customers stay in their own homes.
• Paid hours for e-learning and paid shadowing shifts.
