Job summary

Right Now Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Henfield to maintain plant and electrical systems, ensuring reliability and safety. The role involves fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and supporting improvements to reduce downtime.

The position offers a permanent contract with a salary of £45,000–£53,000 plus overtime, and shift options including 3:00pm-11:00pm or a 12-hour pattern. Strong electrical diagnostics and industrial experience are essential.

Qualifications

Electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
Quals such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent are desirable.
18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems, plant and machinery.
Respond to breakdowns and perform fault-finding and repairs.
Diagnose faults across electrical, control and automation systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Maintain manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime.
Support machinery installations, modifications and site improvements.
Identify recurring faults and implement preventative solutions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
Liaise with Production and Maintenance teams to keep equipment safe.
Coordinate with external contractors and comply with inspection requirements.
