Owen Daniels is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, offering 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights. The role involves maintenance across furnaces, cranes and CNC machines, with a focus on preventing downtime and ensuring safe operation.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical fault-finding skills, experience with PLCs and drawing interpretation, and holds ONC/HNC or City & Guilds qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Confident reading electrical drawings; PLC fault finding desirable.
• High Voltage experience desirable.
• ONC, HNC or City & Guilds qualification advantageous.
• Comfortable in industrial environments, at heights and in confined spaces.
• Heavy engineering experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across a range of industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out PLC fault finding.
• Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain equipment safely and effectively.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications

• £55,000, including shift allowance, with up to £59,500 available for more experienced candidates.
