Job summary

Kindred FM is seeking reliable cleaners for an educational building in Wootton. You will undertake general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, sanitising touchpoints and basic floor care while keeping areas tidy and safe. Hours are Monday to Friday, 15:30–18:30, paid at £13.45 per hour.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and follow COSHH and health and safety rules. We value teamwork and independence and will support reasonable adjustments in recruitment where

Qualifications

Able to complete the physical demands of the role with reasonable adjustments.
To be able to follow instructions (including written) and work safely for periods of time on their own.
Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.
An ability to communicate in English, although English as a first language is not a requirement.
Able to fulfil the shift patterns because the timings of the role would be fixed.

Responsibilities

General Cleaning Tasks: Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
Specialist & Deep Cleaning: periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.
Health, Safety & Compliance: using cleaning equipment safely and COSHH considerations.
Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.
Teamwork & Independence: work independently with minimal supervision; support colleagues as needed.
