Job summary

Kindred is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team in Birmingham, based at an educational building. You will be responsible for general cleaning tasks, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking supplies, with focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Pay is £12.71 per hour, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 15:30 to 18:00. DBS check is required for successful candidates as part of our safety policy. The role requires independent work and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Criteria: Able to complete the physical demands of the role with reasonable adjustments.
• Minimum Criteria: Follow instructions (including written) and work safely for periods of time on their own.
• Minimum Criteria: Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum Criteria: An ability to communicate in English, although English as a first language is not a requirement.
• Minimum Criteria: Able to fulfil the shift patterns because the timings of the role would be fixed.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.
