Job summary

Enable Leisure Team is seeking an Assistant Swim Instructor to deliver lessons for children aged 5–15 and women 16+ at Burntwood School, London. You will follow Swim England guidelines, record progress in the Soakly app, and work with lifeguards to keep sessions safe and inclusive.

The role supports term-time evenings (17:30–21:15) with 7.5 hours per week and potential for extra hours. You will help participants progress through levels and connect with local clubs.

Qualifications

• SEQ Level 1 and Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification.
• Know Swim England curriculum.
• Safeguarding knowledge and willingness to attend training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children and women in the pool and on poolside.
• Independently plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate swimming lessons following Swim England guidelines using the Soakly app.
• Work with the teaching team during sessions, taking turns teaching on poolside and in the pool to support lower-level swimmers.
• Set up, take down and maintain Enable's equipment with other staff and lifeguards.
• Maintain registers and update each participant's skill progression weekly on Soakly.
• Maintain GDPR standards and ensure data is stored securely.
• Commit to regular evening work during term time.
