Job summary

Enable Leisure and Culture is seeking an experienced Assistant Swim Instructor to join our Active Communities team in Wandsworth. You will deliver swimming lessons for children aged 5 to 15 and women 16+, following Swim England guidelines, and use the Soakly teaching app to record progress.

This casual, on-site role runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (17:30–21:15) during term time, 7.5 hours per week, with a salary of £21.00 per hour and an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• SEQ Level 1 and Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualifications.
• Sound knowledge of the Swim England curriculum.
• Knowledge of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of children and women in pool and on poolside.
• Plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate swimming lessons following Swim England guidelines and Soakly app.
• Work with team to set up, take down and maintain equipment.
• Keep registers and update skill progression weekly on Soakly.
• Follow GDPR and venue policies; ensure safeguarding is reported.
