Job summary

Coastland College is seeking a part-time Cleaning Assistant to support the Cleaning and Site Services team. The role involves cleaning classrooms, canteens, toilets and common areas, and maintaining a clean, safe environment with a customer-focused approach.

The position runs 18:00–22:00, Monday to Friday (20 hours/week, 38 weeks/year). An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for new hires, with opportunities for additional weekend work during events.

Qualifications

• Experience with general cleaning duties (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping).
• Willing to work term time 18:00-22:00, 20 hours per week.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping).
• Tidy and clean hot spots and common areas (canteen, toilets).
• Report problems to the Cleaning Supervisor and keep areas stocked.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with staff and follow health and safety regulations.
