Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a full-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for the Defence sector, contracted to 40 hours per week. The role involves maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service across client sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, be hands-on and flexible to shifts, with cleaning experience preferred but not required. Training and career development opportunities are provided within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and hygienic environments for clients and customers.
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Assist with spill clean-up and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.

We're currently recruiting a full time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 40 hours per week. Here’s an idea of what your shift patterns will be: Mon-Fri (Full Time Days)

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands‑on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
