Job description

To conform to the cleaning specification and schedules and carry out cleaning duties as required, with a view to continuously developing and improving quality standards.

To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself, your colleagues, and others who may be affected by your work activities.

Key duties:
  1. To carry out window cleaning inline with the correct specifications and health and safety standards.
  2. Update supervisor of any changes on site.
  3. Liaise with supervisor/line manager to review sites and review work on Jobber allocation system.
  4. Be punctual and attend for duty as requested.
  5. To achieve the highest standard of work, with a positive team spirit.
  6. To continuously develop and improve quality standards.
  7. To meet managers, clients, and company expectations.
  8. To respond to any reasonable request of the company or client.
  9. To ensure that products, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and stored.
  10. To use your initiative to resolve problems where appropriate.
  11. Ensure that your appearance and conduct comply with the expectations of the company and that appropriate clothing/PPE is always worn.
  12. Communicate any unresolved cleaning issues.
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience

The job holder will be required to have experience within cleaning.

Interpersonal Skills

When dealing with client personnel and at all levels, the job holder must use tact and diplomacy to gain cooperation from client personnel and visitors.

Responsibility
Human Resource Management

The job holder is responsible for checking the quality of their work and supervising less experienced staff when required.

Physical Resource Management

- The job holder is responsible for the care of tools, ensuring they are complete and in good condition, whether the property belongs to the client or Pareto.

- Confidentiality is required on all matters pertaining to Pareto and the client.

Communication

Communication is oral and written, mainly internal with the site manager and client’s staff. The job involves liaising with contractors and visitors as needed.

Liaison

The job holder’s interactions can affect the client’s image. They will liaise with inspectors and governing bodies visiting the site.

Mental Demands
Judgement and Decision Making

Work is allocated, and the job holder decides how to approach tasks, sometimes consulting specifications or team discussions. Routine decisions are made daily based on experience or initiative.

Original Thought and Problem Solving

Many tasks require independent problem solving, with occasional assistance from the Site Manager or client for unusual issues.

Concentration

High levels of concentration are necessary, especially when working with machinery and adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.

Flexibility

The role involves a variety of activities, with interruptions from internal sources. Tasks outside of the usual duties may be assigned based on priorities.

Working Conditions

The job may involve outdoor work in adverse weather, requiring the job holder to assess personal risks related to machinery, noise, and pollution.
