Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team at MTC Ansty. The role is weekday evenings, 20 hours per week, with flexibility to support events. You'll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and clients.

Pay rate is £13.00 per hour. Applicants should have COSHH knowledge and understanding of health & safety procedures, and be able to work independently with a flexible approach to cover events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cleaning role in commercial or similar environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations.
• Awareness of Health & Safety practices in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Flexible approach to cover events and shifts.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of office and communal areas.
• Dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sanitising surfaces.
• Waste collection and disposal per site procedures.
• Replenishing consumables (soap, towels).
• Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Following health & safety protocols and COSHH rules.
• Reporting maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Supporting additional cleaning duties during event evenings.
