Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaner based at Sedgefield Community College to maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment across our sites in line with health and safety requirements.

This role involves day-to-day cleaning, replenishing consumables and reporting issues, with working hours Monday to Friday 15:30–18:30. Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the UK and DBS check
• Experience in commercial/public cleaning preferred
• Good understanding of cleaning methods and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Reliable, punctual and flexible

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waste disposal
• Clean welfare areas, offices, corridors and washrooms to required standards
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, towels and soap
• Follow health & safety, COSHH and cleaning procedures at all times
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Work efficiently to meet timescales and maintain professional demeanor
