Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated cleaner for a term-time position in Musselburgh. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across classrooms, offices, toilets and related areas, with duties including vacuuming, polishing, waste disposal and replenishing supplies.

The role involves working Monday to Thursday evenings and Friday early afternoon, with summer deep-clean duties as required.

Qualifications

• A track record of delivering a similar role but not necessary as training given.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school premises to a high standard of cleanliness across classrooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and polishers as required by the supervisor.
• Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information related to the school.
• Clean and tidy floors, wipe surfaces, empty bins and replenish supplies in toilets and classrooms.
• Check windows, lights and doors, and report any defects or hazards promptly.
