Job summary

Queen Mary's College in Basingstoke is seeking a Casual Caretaker to provide reliable evening security and lock-up services. The role runs Monday to Friday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, ensuring buildings are checked, secured and alarms activated. You will work independently, following established procedures in a busy educational setting.

Qualifications

• Reliable and trustworthy with a responsible approach.
• Available to work 19:00–21:00, Monday to Friday.
• Able to follow established security procedures and lock-up protocols.
• Professional and approachable with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the 19:00–21:00 lock-up programme, Monday to Friday.
• Check and secure buildings, rooms, doors and windows.
• Ensure staff, students and visitors have vacated relevant areas.
• Set intruder alarms and switch off unnecessary lighting.
